This article documents the Refund Agent role.
Description
The Refund Agent (RA) takes over disputes that could not be resolved by the traders and where the mediation suggestion was not accepted. In such a case the traders deposits are sent to the donation address and is in some sense returned to the DAO. The RA resolves disputes in a similar way as the mediator. The RA collects evidence from the traders about what happened and then decides how they should be refunded. The RA then pays the traders according to his/her decision and gets refunded by the DAO as a reimbursement request. The RA is an optional role and Bisq could work without him/her. In such a case the traders would make their own reimbursement request to the DAO. However such a system is cumbersome
